Soil Preparation Classes
Saturday, March 14 at 11 am
‘Get ready for the harvest. Join Kerri Gardner, soils expert from Kellogg Garden Products as she teaches us how to prepare our vegetable and gardening beds for the spring planting season. She will go over the benefits of organic soil amendments, organic fertilizers and using less toxic pest controls. Free Class.

Our own Tyler Coen will follow up on Kerri’s class and focus on vegetable gardening, including containers, and plant/variety selections. Free class.
Container Gardening Class
Saturday, March 21 at 10am
Join our own Lita Gates for a container gardening class. She will go over the elements and combinations that make the perfect potted garden for the porch, patio or deck. She will also be available to help you select your own personal combinations of pots and plants.
Sunday, March 22 at 1pm
Lita will follow up on the container class and focus on hanging baskets. Free class
Landscape design basics with Tyler Coen
Saturday, March 28 at 10am
Tyler will go over basic landscape design and walk the nursery highlighting plants that are not only drought tolerant but low maintenance.
Lori Caldwell the ‘Compost Gal’ Workshop

Lori Caldwell the ‘Compost Gal’ from StopWaste.org will conduct 2-1 hour workshops,
First Class at 1 pm will be on sheet mulching—converting your existing thirsty lawn into a lush drought-tolerant landscape without ripping out your lawn.
The second hour will be on composting, specifically creating your own rich compost from yard waste and kitchen scraps.
